I hope you enjoy our new end of term traditional lip sync!
Azain was set the following challenge for his GCSE Product Design Controlled Assessment task:
Ever asked “why hasn’t someone invented a product to…”? Newspaper supplements often advertise such clever product as devices for cleaning down the sides of fridges or solar powered key-hole lights investigate a problem which you can establish is shared by many people and design and make a prototype with packaging and suitable promotional material.
When asked about his work Azain explained: ‘I designed and made an illuminated football corner post for my GCSE product design. I wanted to extend lower league football hours by improving vision of the corners of the pitch, my product would encourage visually impaired people to join in more sports’
Mrs Tingley who has worked closely with Azain whilst he has been at Crestwood School added: ‘ As a profoundly deaf child and part of the Listen and Learn Centre, Azain has a unique perspective on the difficulties that people with disabilities face. It came as no surprise therefore that he chose to make a product that reflects this understanding of need.
Supported by committed Specialist Teaching Assistants, Azain has excellent progress in many areas; last year he won the school progress award.
I am immensely proud of his achievements, and am sure he will succeed in Dudley College doing Electrical Installations after he leaves Crestwood’
Well done Azain, we are all very proud of your work!
