Crestwood Students Receive 2019 GCSE Results!

Crestwood School GCSE Results 2019

Crestwood School would like to congratulate all students on an excellent set of results. There are many incredible individual performances.

In terms of attainment there were outstandingperformances from:

Helen Zheng eight top grades (seven or higher!) including two grade 9s! Our Head Girl Hannah Moore also received eight top grades, Cole Roberts and Nyah Mallen with seven top grades each and Daniel Moriarty with six top grades which included three 9s!

At Crestwood we place a huge emphasis on progress, which is the measure of what a student was expected to achieve when they joined us in Year 7 vs what they achieved in Year 11.

Again, we have so many positive performances in terms of progress:

Daniel Moriarty tops our progress chart scoring 2.93, meaning Dan scored almost 3 grades higher across ALL his subjects! Elif Elma and Simrah Basharat achieved progress scores of 2.22 and 1.86 respectively. Molly Mai Summers (1.71) and Harry Barnes (1.66) complete the top 5 students making the most progress at Crestwood.

Across the board our students received 76 top grades (7 or higher) a stunning figure amongst a relatively small cohort. Over two thirds of our students received a pass or better in English.

Mr Tony Bowles, Invictus Education Trust CEO, added: ‘Another fantastic set of results across the Trust which further confirms our collaborative approach is providing excellent outcomes for the most important people, our students!

Congratulations to each and every one of our students receiving their GCSE results today. There are some incredible performances across our Trust, in terms of both attainment and progress. An area of our results that would like to bring to your attention is the amount of grade 9’s our students have achieved. It is easy to see a grade 9 as an A* equivalent, but it is more than that. Students receiving a grade 9 in any given subject can classify themselves as ‘in the top 2% in the country’! This is a truly remarkable achievement and one of many areas of our results I take great pride in.

Our students always have and always will come first, but I would like to personally thank the staff across our Trust, who go above and beyond on a daily, sometimes hourly, basis to provide outstanding environments for our students to excel in.

I look forward to welcoming many of our students back in September as part of the Invictus Sixth Form’

For anyone that would like to learn more about our Trust please come to visit us at one or more of our open evenings. All details are available on our website www.invictus.education or call to arrange a visit on 01384 686586
