INVICTUS Education Trust

This is a very carefully planned collaboration between our four schools. We have been drawn together by the exciting prospect of success and know that together we are stronger and have greater capacity for continued progress on our journey to Outstanding. We are totally committed to ensuring all our students receive the best possible education and experiences from a vast pool of shared expertise and resources. We do, of course, maintain our own independence and identity and will continue to serve and represent our local communities.

I firmly believe, along with governors and staff, that this is the very best way forward for Crestwood School and our students now and in the future. Our relentless drive for success and our high expectations have been nationally recognised. As you know, we were placed in the Top 50 Most Improved Secondary Schools in the Country in 2014. The progress that students make from when they arrive at Crestwood to when they leave (known as “value added”) is consistently better than any other local secondary school in Dudley and the surrounding boroughs. This value added placed us in the top 20% of secondary schools in England and Wales in 2012, 2013 and 2014. We welcomed Ofsted in June 2014 and were delighted with the outcome of Good in all 4 categories. We are officially a “Good” school and we continue our journey to be outstanding for our community.

Invictus is committed to a strong emphasis on achievement and excellence. We believe we can create something spectacular, successful and exciting. Within the Trust we can pool ideas, resources and best practice. We can also broaden and enrich the experiences available to students.

It is a privilege and honour for me to be Headteacher at The Crestwood School. I am extremely proud of our students and dedicated staff, all of whom contribute to making learning enjoyable and fulfilling. We are a forward thinking school and as a founder member of Invictus continually strive for excellence and collaboration between all four schools. I believe that we can continue to improve and develop our school to offer the very best to our students and the whole community.

INVICTUS Educational Trust

Invictus Education Trust is a new way for children to experience the highest quality of education.

We are a tightly knit group of highly successful schools, none of whom is more than a 25 minute drive away from each other. The schools will proudly retain their separate identities but they will also work very closely together to produce the best possible outcomes. It is our declared intention to provide elite experiences for all our students. Indeed we plan to compare ourselves to the very best schools, be they either state or independent.
