The Crestwood School Cadets Detachment served their first official public duty on Thursday 16th February.
Our cadets assisted with the Year 9 Options Parents Evening, a very important annual event that helps our students begin to shape their future.
The students proudly wore their uniform and assisted by navigating parents around the school.
Don’t they look just fantastic!
3 of our musicians steal the show yet again with a rip-roaring performance at the River Rooms in Stourbridge on Wednesday 15th February.
Ellie Harthill, Harriet Mazur and Jack Parsons, who form 3 parts of the band Black Flamingos, wowed the audience with an incredible set. The pictures below show that along with their magnificent musical talent they also look the part of budding rock stars!
Well done guys!
On Tuesday 7th February we took part in the national campaign ‘Safe Internet Day’. Our contribution included this video, filmed and edited by former student Tom Bedworth with the scenes expertly acted out by our drama students!
The message is simple…be careful what you post online, you never know who is watching!
During the first half of the spring term 25 lucky students received a £10 reward for achieving 100% attendance, 100% punctuality and attending a minimum of THREE after school revision sessions per week.
Mr Bowles set the challenge at the end of the Autumn term during our Christmas Assembly. The campaign demonstrates how we are willing to put our money where our mouth is in terms of matching the commitment of our students.
Year 11 have another chance at the reward during the second part of the spring term, hopefully the 25 winners will inspire the rest of the year group!
