Welcome

It is a privilege to be Headteacher at Crestwood School and Sixth Form. Whilst academic success is my number one priority, ensuring your child is a caring, well-rounded and responsible citizen is of equal importance. We aim for your child to become a resilient, confident and articulate young person that is prepared for the fast paced and exciting modern Britain we live in today.

As part of Invictus Education Trust ‘every day in every way our students come first’. We want your child to believe ‘anything is possible’ and achieve ambitious goals in a supportive, positive and inclusive environment. Our expectations and standards are high. As a result, your child will be stretched in their learning to ensure they achieve the very best qualifications. They will be supported by our hard working staff team, who go above and beyond so your child will be happy, safe and successful during their time at Crestwood.

We have a vibrant curriculum with access to a wide range of opportunities that allows all students, regardless of their ability, to fulfil their potential. We want your child to be inspired, to develop an enquiring mind and to have a love of learning.

It is important to us that students at Crestwood feel valued and know they can make a difference. An extensive extra-curricular programme alongside opportunities for leadership and personal development exposes students to experiences that will enrich their lives. Our aim is to find and nurture your child’s talents and for them to have memories of school that they will keep into adulthood.

‘Community’ is central to everything we do at Crestwood. To enable your child to thrive we recognise the importance of working alongside parents, community and local primary schools. We will make sure that you are kept up to date with everything you need to know about your child’s learning, progress and well-being.

Your child will be joining Crestwood at a very exciting time. The new Science block, alongside our swimming pool, 4g sports pitches and state of the art ICT, means that your child will have access to the very best facilities of any school in the area.

I am delighted that our Sixth Form continues to grow year on year. We offer a wide range of A-Level and BTEC qualifications and our excellent pastoral care continues into our post 16 provision. Our Sixth Form also benefits from the expertise and resources from across the Invictus Trust so students are well prepared for their next steps, whether this is university, an apprenticeship or the world of work.

I look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful school community.
